The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 is the gateway for admission into Class 6 and Class 9 of 33 existing Sainik Schools and 69 New Sainik Schools across India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Sainik Schools Society (SSS), Ministry of Defence, this examination determines admission to India’s most reputed military residential schools that prepare students for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence services.

The Government of India has approved the establishment of 69 New Sainik Schools (NSS) across various states, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with reputed educational institutions.
These schools follow the Sainik School pattern while remaining affiliated to their respective education boards.
There are two routes for admission in these schools under Sainik School Vertical:

After the declaration of AISSEE 2026 results, qualified candidates must register for e-Counselling
💡 Important: Admission is confirmed only after medical fitness and verification of all documents.
Every student selected through AISSEE 2026 must undergo a medical examination at a military or government hospital.

Students declared “Medically Fit” are eligible for final admission. Those found unfit can appeal for a re-examination within a prescribed time.
